Do My Creatine Gummies Actually Contain 5g of Creatine? Here’s What I Did to Find Out

If you’ve been following the supplement world lately, you might’ve seen James Smith’s recent exposé on creatine gummies. Several well-known brands were called out for selling gummies that didn’t actually contain the amount of creatine they claimed on the label.

When I watched that video, my first reaction was: Holy crap—what if my product ends up in a video like that?

These creatine gummies are the very first product I’m releasing under Everprime Health. It’s a startup. A small business. My reputation as a health coach and business owner is on the line—and trust is everything.

So I decided to get the gummies tested.

Why Bother Testing?

Honestly? Because I don’t want to just believe the numbers printed on a manufacturer’s certificate of analysis. There’s very little regulation around supplements in Australia, and I believe that if you’re putting something in people’s bodies, it’s your responsibility to know exactly what’s in it.

I also had a conversation with my mentor, a food scientist who’s big on testing and quality assurance. She had also seen the exposé and encouraged me to do the same. That sealed it.

How I Got Them Tested

In the exposé, James Smith had the products tested through a company called Eurofins. I reached out to them myself, but it turns out they don’t do creatine testing locally in Australia—they send the samples overseas, which means costs go way up. Not ideal for a startup.

After calling around, I was eventually referred to Macquarie University’s Australian Proteome Analysis Facility (APAF). They’ve been doing high-end protein and compound analysis for over 25 years, and they’re:

  • Supported by Bioplatforms Australia
  • Funded by the Australian Government’s National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS)
  • Accredited by NATA (ISO/IEC 17025 compliance)

They recommended I send 20 gummies of each flavour (about 60g per flavour) to run tests on creatine content, as well as creatinine (a by-product of creatine breakdown, which can help indicate freshness or degradation).

The cost? $185 per sample. Much more manageable, and I should have results within a week of the samples arriving.

What I Claim — And What Happens If I’m Wrong

Each serving of my gummies (4 gummies) claims to contain 5g of creatine.

If the lab results come back and show that the creatine content is significantly lower than advertised, I won’t be putting this batch up for sale. Simple as that.

I’d rather delay launch—or even take a financial hit—than risk releasing something I can’t stand behind.

Why This Matters

Look, I get it. The supplement industry is full of noise. Big claims, shiny packaging, and sometimes… underwhelming products. But I want Everprime Health to stand for something different.

Transparency. Integrity. Data over marketing hype.

Getting my creatine gummies tested isn’t just about ticking a box—it’s about setting the tone for everything this brand stands for.

What’s Next?

Once I receive the lab results, I’ll be publishing them right here on the website. I want my customers to have the same peace of mind I do.

And moving forward, every batch of creatine gummies will be independently tested before it hits the shelf.

This might be my first product—but it won’t be my last. And I want this to be the foundation of trust that Everprime Health is built on.

Thanks for being part of the journey.
